Pro Bono Attorneys

In rural California, there is only one attorney for every 27,000 people who qualify for legal aid.

Join us pro bono and help close the justice gap.

"CRLA is the only game in town for some [rural] communities... Working with CRLA is about helping the people who need it most."

Peter Carson
Partner, Sheppard Mullin

Everyone deserves representation when their rights are violated; low income should not be a barrier.

Yet, due to lack of resources or federal funding limitations, there are may cases that CRLA attorneys are unable to take.

How You Can Help

Pro bono literally means "for the good." For the good of our state and the health of our communities, we need attorneys like you to offer your help.

As a pro bono attorney with CRLA, you might :

  • take referrals of cases that we cannot handle
  • co-counsel with CRLA attorneys
  • present legal clinics
  • volunteer in a field office
  • advise and consult with CRLA attorneys
  • mentor younger CRLA attorneys.

With 19 offices serving clients statewide, we always have a wide range of pro bono opportunities. Contact us today to find the best fit for you or your firm.
